Dash is an Android app and widget that shows the next departures of Prague public transport (PID) for the stops and lines that you choose. This page tells you what data Dash keeps, why, and how to delete it.
Data that Dash keeps
| Data | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google account ID, email address, and name | To identify you when you sign in, and to show who is signed in | Dash server |
| Your boards: stops, lines, and display settings | To show your departures in the app and the widget, on all your devices | Dash server |
| Sign-in sessions (a hash of the session token, the creation and expiry time) | To keep you signed in for up to 365 days | Dash server |
| The session token, the last departures, and your default settings | To show the widget without a new sign-in | Your phone (app storage only) |
Dash gets your account ID, email address, and name from Google when you sign in. Dash does not ask for access to other Google data, such as Gmail, Drive, or contacts.
Data that Dash does not keep
- Dash does not use your location.
- Dash does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking.
- Dash does not sell or share your data.
Services that Dash uses
- Google Sign-In to sign you in. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare runs the Dash server and the database (in the EU). Cloudflare can keep request logs, for example IP addresses, for operation and security. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Golemio (the data platform of the City of Prague) supplies the departure data. The Dash server sends only stop IDs to Golemio, never your account data.
How long Dash keeps your data
Dash keeps your account and boards until you delete your account. A sign-in session expires after 365 days, or when you sign out.
Delete your data
- In the app, open Profile and tap Delete account. This deletes your account, boards, and sessions from the Dash server at once.
- Or send an email to alesmenzel+dash-privacy@gmail.com from the email address of your account.
- To remove the data on your phone, uninstall the app.
- You can also remove the access of Dash to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
